Le Grand Parquet is an international reference, located in Fontainebleau, just 7 km from the castle of Bourron hotel.

Fontainebleau is a city deeply attached to its equestrian heritage. Since François 1st to Napoleon III, the kings of France favored Fontainebleau and its exceptional environment for hunting there.

Built in 1920 on an ancient land “hunting shot” the Royal Hippodrome du Grand Parquet quickly becomes a place of prestigious races. It is then called the “Emperor Parquet” and all the high society of the time found there. It was around 1950 that the site is redeveloped to become a place for equestrian competitions, suitable for all disciplines.

Since then, every year the Grand Parquet hosts equestrian competitions of high level, as well as numerous sports and events.

Organizers of equestrian sports events, riders, horse breeders or the general public, each has unforgettable memories on this site, which gives it a status uncommon, and in fact a place of rendez-vous for all horse lovers .
