History of the room Récamier
Madame Juliette Récamier, famous in Europe because of her beauty, would have married her natural father, Parisian banker to inherit from his big fortune and avoid his dishonor. It would be the secret of its universal virtue. Intelligent, cultivated and full of sweetness, Madam Récamier danced, sang, pinched of the harp and played the piano. It was one of the foremost women of her time. This David's portrait to the right of the chimney presents her dressed "in the classic art", in a bare frame, surrounded with Pompeiian furniture. She is, in 1800, at the origin of the fashion.

Atmosphere
Here, a magnificent room had been realized under the Empire period under the influence of the Récamier style. We attempted to restore this atmosphere, through tissues with scores red and white with the factory JAB, the golden yellow color canopy, the style pieces of furniture. The chimney and its monumental woodwork Louis XV gilded in the brass leaf become integrated perfectly into the Empire style!
This imperial room recreates the magnificence of imperial apartments with its high ceilings, its beautiful lustrums and its rich decorations!
You will be also seduced very certainly by the bathroom, its bull's-eye, its shower with Italian stone floor, the bathtub in cast iron of epoch on foot of lion.
